Application sequence
A practical U.S. pathway for Filipino nurses
These steps can overlap: the state license plan, the employer offer, the federal credential screening, and the immigration filing. In the end, they must all point to the same role and worksite.
1. State licensure
Select the intended state, review its internationally educated nurse rules, complete credential evaluation, and prepare for NCLEX-RN.
2. Employer match
Apply to roles where the employer explicitly supports international candidates and confirm that the offer matches your license path.
3. Screening and petition
Complete the required health-care worker certification and let the employer or its counsel document the applicable petition route.
