Visa Bulletin Priority Dates

The Visa Bulletin is a monthly publication from the U.S. Department of State that shows which immigrant visa applicants can move forward based on their priority date, visa category, and country of chargeability. It governs both family- and employment-based green card cases; this page tracks the employment-based (EB) categories most relevant to sponsored healthcare workers.

A priority date is generally the date a labor certification (PERM) or immigrant petition was filed on your behalf. It functions like a place in line — your priority date must be earlier than the cutoff date listed for your category and country before you can take the next step in the green card process.

As of the July 2026 Visa Bulletin, the EB-3 Final Action Date for India is January 1, 2014. This date moves every month and can advance, retrogress, or hold — always confirm against the official bulletin before making decisions based on it.

Final Action Dates (Chart A) show when a green card can actually be approved and a visa number issued. Dates for Filing (Chart B) show when an applicant can submit an adjustment-of-status or immigrant visa application, which is often earlier. USCIS decides each month which chart applicants may use to file adjustment-of-status applications — check the current chart before relying on either date.
