Summary

The School Nurse Coordinator provides oversight for school and clinic nursing services, ensuring high-quality, evidence based care that supports student well being, academic success, and long term health. The role promotes health and safety by coordinating care, addressing actual and potential health concerns, and collaborating with families, staff, and healthcare providers. The Coordinator establishes performance standards, ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements, and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities include directing daily nursing operations, conducting performance evaluations, and recognizing staff contributions while supporting family and student capacity for adaptation, self management, and self advocacy. Essential Job Functions: Advises leadership of significant and/or unexpected variances. Demonstrates an understanding of the budget and assists leadership in keeping within fiscal parameters.

Assists leadership in requests for capital expenditures. Develops and implements short term goals and is responsible for measurable outcomes and effective use of resources. Responsible for program and service development in response to both internal and external stakeholders.
