Georgia RN license requirements

Credential evaluation
The Board’s RN guide requires a TruMerit (formerly CGFNS) credential evaluation for a foreign prelicensure program.
English requirement
TOEFL is required when applicable; the guide does not expose the complete exemption/score rule in its summary, so use the current application and Board rules.
SSN requirement
The guide lists Social Security number, secure-and-verifiable document, citizenship affidavit, and qualified-alien documents when applicable. A valid U.S. SSN is required for multistate licensure.
Background check
Register with GAPS/IDEMIA on the same day the licensure application is submitted and complete the background-check consent process.
Education review
The foreign program must be accredited/approved in its country and verified by an independent credential-review agency. The guide also says the applicant must hold a current license.
