REGULAR FULL TIME | 72.00 Hours Every Two Weeks Shift: Days Pay Rate Type: Hourly Location: Women's Health Clinic Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.
Min = $33.74 Mid = $42.17 Max = $50.61
Summary
Responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters, including first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments, detailed second and third trimester anatomic assessments, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound. You will work directly and exclusively with perinatologists in a high quality independent fetal imaging center which will allow you to simultaneously provide excellent ultrasound service while improving and maintaining your ultrasound skills and to obtain additional certifications, if needed. Protocols adhere to standards established by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
Sonographer certification and a minimum of 2 years of fetal ultrasound experience is preferred. We invite you to join our expanding team of Maternal-Fetal Medicine sonographers as we meet the needs of a growing community.
Responsibilities
- Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings Prepares preliminary reports and communicates any critical findings to Radiologist.
- Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, patient history and medical records and adapt sonographic examination as necessary Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed Coordinates work schedule with Departmental Manager to assure workload coverage Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer’s care Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all departments, physicians and outside facilities.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned Credentials: Essential: * BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) * REGISTERED DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER (RDMS) Education: Essential: * HS DIPLOMA/GED
Other Information
- Experience and Education : Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or Graduate of Accredited Sonography Program.
- Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS Registry).
- BLS Accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology.
- Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience in ultrasound preferred Nuchal Translucency (NT) Certification is preferred .
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
