Qualifications

- Training and Experience: # Listed with Texas Department of Nurse Aid Registry (or acquire within 1 year of hire or transfer from another department).
- Current BLS certification required through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of hospital orientation within 3 months of hire.
- Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer from another department. # Patient transfers # Patient transport # Aseptic technique # Lab specimens / order entry # Unit safety # Body substance isolation # Role in Code Blue # Supply processing and ordering # Stocking of PACU # Assist with patient admission to PACU # VI.
