Credential evaluation

Internationally educated exam applicants must obtain the credentials evaluation specified by WSBN's current RN/LPN examination instructions. Confirm the accepted provider and exact report before ordering.

English requirement

WSBN requires English proficiency for applicable international graduates under its exam instructions/NLC standards. The reviewed public landing pages do not support stating a universal score or exemption list; verify in the live packet.

SSN requirement

A valid U.S. SSN is required for a multistate license. Confirm WSBN's single-state handling for applicants without an SSN before applying.

Background check

Initial applicants complete WSBN-directed state and FBI fingerprint background checks using the Board's fingerprint process.

Education review

WSBN determines whether international nursing education is comparable to an approved program and may request primary-source course/clinical evidence.
