Alaska RN license requirements

Credential evaluation
For an ordinary examination application, official transcripts and a nursing-program verification go directly from the school. A CGFNS/TruMerit full education course-by-course report is expressly required if requesting a temporary permit; the public page does not say it is universally required for every exam applicant.
English requirement
If the prelicensure program was not taught in English, provide a four-skill English exam, a CGFNS/TruMerit full course-by-course report showing instruction was in English, or an ICHP VisaScreen certificate. Alaska points to the federal HRSA list of accepted tests and scores.
SSN requirement
The reviewed public foreign-graduate and NCLEX pages do not clearly state whether an SSN is required for application or issuance.
Background check
The current RN-by-examination instructions govern fingerprint/background-check submission; verify the live packet because the foreign-graduate summary does not specify the procedure.
Education review
Official transcript and program verification must come directly from the school. Non-English documents require certified English translations.
