Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is a non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. Our team at Prairie Lakes makes a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones POSITION SUMMARY This full-time position assists Physician/Advanced Practice Provider by performing direct and indirect patient care as delegated by the Medical Provider within the Scope of Practice.

JOB-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct and indirect care to patients utilizing the nursing process in providing patient care. Applies nursing process, critical thinking, and judgment to clinical practice. Performs duties such as answering phones, placing calls, scheduling, order entry, and obtaining old records.

Prepares patient charts for upcoming visits to ensure all results are available to include utilizing the electronic health record. Assists with cleaning of patient treatment areas. Restocks and orders supplies for patient treatment areas, nursing station, and supply carts.
