Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is an independent, non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. POSITION SUMMARY Wage: 23.00-34.94 This full-time(0.9 status or 36hrs per week) position performs and reports waived to highly complex laboratory procedures on all patients to efficiently provide quality laboratory results to use by clinical care providers. Responsibilities include: Performs accurately waived, moderate, and highly complex testing. Records and reports routine patient and quality control (QC) testing in all laboratory sections on all patients utilizing documented procedures and does not report patient results unless defined QC parameters are met.
Organizes work by matching orders with specimen; sorting specimens; checking labeling; logging specimens; keeping work surfaces clean and orderly. Completes accurate specimen procurement on neonates to geriatric patients, assesses specimen integrity and processes specimen following defined parameters. Demonstrates basic to intermediate proficiency in instrument and analyzer maintenance.
