Summary
Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices, and competency. Works collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department. National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma. Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Serves as a member of the provider's Care Team in coordinating the flow of patients through assisting provider with various responsibilities as requested, managing supplies and equipment, fielding and triaging phone call, and other front office tasks. What you will do Rooms patients, takes vitals, prepares patient for physician, assists physician when needed.
