QUALIFICATIONS Required: Completion of Surgical Tech Program; AHA BLS certification from 60 days of hire and maintained; flexibility and strong organizational skills; excellent communication and customer service skills; excellent prioritization and follow through skills; ability to function professionally in urgent or emergent situations. Preferred: One year previous Obstetrics or Surgical experience; training in aseptic technique and environmental cleaning TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS Medium to heavy physical demands. Ability to stoop frequently, reach from floor to overhead level occasionally, push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently, lift up to 50 pounds. Work under daily stress and constant time demands. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Promotes efficient department operation by demonstrating teamwork, efficiency and initiative __ Takes initiative to identify and solve problems, seek areas for improvement, contribute new ideas, support team goals. __ Demonstrates flexibility, maintains open communications, look for opportunities to assist co-workers. __ Prioritizes and completes duties within appropriate time frames; accepts projects or additional duties willingly.
