QUALIFICATIONS Required: Excellent verbal communication skills required to communicate with customers; Ability to follow and understand detailed written and verbal instructions; Ability to organize and prioritize work while still meeting the needs of customers as they arise; Ability to respond to changes in pace productively and efficiently; Ability to attend to detail; Ability to independently complete basic math and accurately count back change; and Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Oregon Food Handler's card or equivalent required by end of month from 30 days of hire and maintained. Preferred: Barista experience. Food service and/or customer service experience. Knowledge of sanitation guidelines or ServSave certification. TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS Medium physical demand level. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to bend, stoop, stretch, twist and turn while performing manual tasks that require manual dexterity. Ability to stand for an extended period of up to 3 hours continuously. Ability to ambulate with hot items in a safe manner. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for up to 3 hours continuously. Must be able to tolerate extremes of noise, temperature, and humidity. Must be able to work without direct supervision. Must be able to meet set timelines and work under pressure. Must be able to operate equipment needed to complete tasks per job description. Must be able to see food preparation tasks to completion. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction regarding timeliness and quality. Consistently provides excellent customer service to all customers. Accepts responsibility for solving problems to the customers’ satisfaction in a timely, effective, and respectful manner. Prepares beverages and food for customers in a manner that promotes quality, consistency and food safety. Setup and breakdown of area at beginning and end of shift. Maintain a clean and sanitary working area. Handles stress and pressure and has the ability to make decisions.
