Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $17.50 - $21.50 Position Highlights You Belong at Avera Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Resident Dining Assistant is responsible for assisting staff with residents in the dining room before and during meal times. What you will do Assists with setting up and performing pre meal cares in the dining area for meals. Serves residents as they are seated for meal by passing trays per prescribed diet from kitchen area, pouring beverages as desired and assisting with setup of meal for residents that need minimal assistance. Follows all infection control procedures as established by the facility. Reports all accidents/incidents regardless of severity to nurse in charge and complete incident report according to facility policy. Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment to charge nurse. Pass water and evening snacks. Assists in transporting residents to dining area. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. These requirements and those listed above are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: Some High School or an equivalent combination of education and experience Resident Dining Feeding Assistant Program - Avera within 60 Days or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Licensing Board active in state of practice within 120 Days Expectations and Standards Commitment to the daily application of Avera’s mission, vision, core values, and social principles to serve patients, their families, and our community.
