Summary

Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist I also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred Pediatric experience preferred CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date Heartsaver CPR within 60 days of start date CSC SCM training must be completed within 60 days of start date About Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.
