Pharmacy Technician Status

  • Full Time – Non-Exempt Reports to: Pharmacy Director __________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose and Scope of Position Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician supports medication distribution for inpatient, emergency, and outpatient services.
  • This includes managing automated dispensing systems, assisting with telepharmacy operation, and other functions such as compounding in a manner consistent with laws and policies & procedures to ensure 24/7 medication access. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Job Requirements Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Active licensure with the Montana Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.
  • Preferred Qualifications National Certification: Candidates with current national certification from the PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT) will be highly preferred.
  • Non-certified candidates may be considered with an expectation for fulfillment of certification prior to the expiration date of their provisional license.
  • Special Requirements Must be able to reason independently and work with minimal guidance.
  • Must be able to interpret data and make sound judgments based on those interpretations.
  • Must deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring tact, judgment, and poise.
  • Must be able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and schedules.
  • Must be able to maintain good working relationships with all co-workers and the general public and use good judgment in recognizing scope and authority. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Schedule Full Time > 30 hours/week __________________________________________________________________________________________ Full-Time
