Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician Status: Full Time – Non-Exempt Reports to: Pharmacy Director __________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose and Scope of Position Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician supports medication distribution for inpatient, emergency, and outpatient services. This includes managing automated dispensing systems, assisting with telepharmacy operation, and other functions such as compounding in a manner consistent with laws and policies & procedures to ensure 24/7 medication access. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Job Requirements 1. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Active licensure with the Montana Board of Pharmacy is mandatory. 2. Preferred Qualifications National Certification: Candidates with current national certification from the PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT) will be highly preferred. Non-certified candidates may be considered with an expectation for fulfillment of certification prior to the expiration date of their provisional license. 3. Special Requirements Must be able to reason independently and work with minimal guidance. Must be able to interpret data and make sound judgments based on those interpretations. Must deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring tact, judgment, and poise. Must be able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and schedules.
