Position Summary

The Medical Staff Peer Review Coordinator collects, monitors, and reports the data used for physician and mid-level provider provisional status, reappointment, medical staff departmental review, focused reviews, and scheduled hospital-wide monitoring.

Qualifications

  • A.###### Education: Holds a current Texas license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist or Radiology Technician. # B.###### Training and Experience: At least three (3) years in clinical nursing.
  • Related performance improvement experience preferred.# Basic computer skills required.
  • C.###### Job Knowledge: Familiar with hospital organization and policies and procedures.
  • Broad clinical nursing background.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing. # Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions: # A.#Ability to perform: 1.The office is crowded, well-lit and has the potential for frequent interruptions. 2.Sitting for long periods of time is required. 3.Potential for stress in meeting deadlines. 4.Work schedule flexibility.
