Summary
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Specialist is to manage inventory within the Supply Chain Inventory and Distribution and offsite warehouse. To perform tasks of auditing, physical inventories, Par Level evaluation and troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies and sourcing of alternative products as needed. Coordination with hospital personnel (clinical and non-clinical) in support of inventory related projects, new item adds, and product recall processes.
This position requires computer literacy, good analytical skills, multi-tasking capabilities, knowledge in inventory software programs. Education & Experience: High School graduate or equivalent, with demonstrated ability to read and write is required. Three to Five years of relevant experience required.
Analytical ability is necessary to prepare and respond to productivity reports, conduct audits of existing systems and recommend appropriate revisions and identify the need for developing new systems. Highly developed interpersonal skills necessary to interact with hospital staff and other representatives. Leadership skills are necessary to direct the activities of Inventory and Distribution, Receiving and Shipping, Mailroom, and Couriers.
