Grand Forks, ND 58201 Pay Range: $105,081.60 - $142,188.80 Summary: Altru Health System is seeking an APP to join our established and collaborative Urology team in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Position Highlights Join a robust team of Urologists and APPs Work-life balance: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No call required Outpatient-focused urology practice What You’ll Do Provide outpatient urology care including: New patient evaluations Referrals and consults Post-operative follow-ups Routine rechecks and same-day add-ons Perform histories, physical exams, and patient assessments Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests Educate patients and families on urologic conditions, treatment plans, and post-op care Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, and nursing staff Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans within scope Essential Job Functions: Provides patient/patient’s family with appropriate education based on the patient’s condition and identifies needs in order to optimize understanding. Provides health maintenance and disease management counseling to patients. Obtains comprehensive medical histories, performs physical examinations/assessments and initiates admission orders as appropriate. Participates in plans for health promotion, prevention and maintenance for the Altru Health System, the community and region. Provides medical management and/or other interventions for acute and chronic health problems. Writes orders for prescription medication under the established protocol. Orders and interprets lab studies and diagnostic tests to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment as appropriate. Notifies patients promptly of test results. Collaborates with physicians, as necessary, to verify diagnosis, identify high-risk situations, or alerts to changes in patient’s status and takes appropriate action. Serves as a liaison and a resource for physician, health care team members, patients and families. Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
