A Brief Overview The Senior Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory throughout the facility with the use of data and analytics, as well as managing new product introductions, physician specific requests and providing support to the value analysis process. The Senior Inventory Specialist is responsible for regulatory issue management as it relates to recalls, product back orders and emergencies. This position is the point of contact for physicians and clinical staff as it relates to supplies.
They are the subject matter expert on the areas they are responsible for and have a working knowledge of the supplies and equipment used in the area, as well as the purpose and alternatives. This position will also lead inventory decision making for their areas with respect of how to stock and maintain adequate supply for patient care needs. Internal customers would include department heads, managers, directors, VP's and Physicians.
