- This nursing specialty demonstrated experience in specific areas of clinical practice further developed though specialty certification.
- The wound nurse additionally utilizes the nursing process in the following major areas: practice, education, consultation, research, and admission.

Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) Must maintain current Texas RN License BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care Preferred Job
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified Wound and ostomy experience Certification by the WOCN or working toward certification
