Location: Freeman, SD Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Freeman Regional Health Service is looking for individuals to join our growing, team-oriented organization. Position Highlights Part Time (1 day per week) A Brief Overview Coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. What you will do Utilizes the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all nursing care provided within the Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab settings. Demonstrates knowledge of exercise principles and development of an appropriate exercise/rehab plan based on cardiac and pulmonary rehab patient evaluation and assessment. Performs ongoing evaluations of patient's compliance and response to therapy, and adjusts plan of care accordingly. Initiates, provides, or delegates patient/family teaching at a level of expertise and documents appropriately, noting the recipients’ participation and response including pre-procedure calling and education. Acts as a patient/family advocate and intervenes if necessary to ensure that patient care is not compromised. Participates in planning, scheduling, and coordinating patient care. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing - An active license in the state of practice is required upon hire 1-3 years experience working in a clinical or hospital environment, preferred. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. These requirements and those listed above are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
