St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Rad Tech - Primary purpose is to perform radiograph procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging strongly preferred. Graduate of an accredited AMA program for Radiologic Technology. Holder of a valid and current: Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be registry eligible, and; Licensed as required by the West Virginia State “Board” of Radiology EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience as Staff Radiologic Technologist desired but not essential. SKILLS: Uses a variety of stationery and mobile radiation producing diagnostic equipment and mechanical accessories. Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials and devices. BLS required.
