Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time CT Specials Technologist to work in our Cat Scan Department. The CT Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all CT activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Byrd Clinical Center. CT technologists ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable. Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all CT orders. Provides radiological care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Operates CT units to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed. Position related duties: Performs venipuncture as required for exam. Measures and administers IV contrast for procedures. Reviews available lab results BUN/Creatinine and/or GFR to determine renal function. Must be able to follow physician instructions, prepare radiography equipment, position patients, and obtain optimal images for diagnosis. Setting the equipment to obtain the best density, detail, and contrast of the area being imaged. Positions patient to obtain desired views and assist Radiologist with biopsy or drainage procedures. Views the resulting images to determine if the study is optimal and no additional scans are required. Operates 3D lab software to effectively format Cardiac and Vascular images to optimally demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Rotates call assignment as needed for 24 hour coverage; schedules patients in section and coordinates scheduling with other departments to ensure patient flow. To be considered, candidates must have their ARRT, WV Medical Imaging license and CPR certifications. A CT Certification is strongly preferred. One year of experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required Junior College, Technical School or Associates Degree required ARRT required WV Medical Imaging license CPR required CT Certification required One year of experience preferred
