Responsibilities The Polysomnographic Technician I is an entry-level role responsible for conducting routine overnight polysomnographic (PSG) studies under supervision. This position performs sleep study set-ups, patient monitoring, data acquisition, and basic troubleshooting in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, AASM standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. Qualifications Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Polysomnographic Technology program or enrollment in a sleep technology training program. Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) or Sleep Disorder Specialist within one year of hire. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
