Schedule

1-2 weeks/monthly blocks available. New, modern clinic facility: Featuring twelve closed operatories with plumbed nitrous oxide. There are plans to support each surgeon with two dental assistants in the near future.

Patient Volume: 12-14 patients per day in clinic. All clinic operatories have up-to-date A-Dec equipment, digital radiography, and electronic health records. Including Dentrix Enterprise Software and Dexis Radiography.

Procedure opportunities: Administer general and local anesthetics. Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and especially with Resident Program Director to plan or provide treatment.

Qualifications

  • New Graduates welcome to apply.
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited University.
  • Active License in the State of Alaska or another US State.
  • Alaska license preferred.
  • Board Certified OMFS.

  • Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and especially with Resident Program Director to plan or provide treatment.
  • Evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth to determine whether problems exist currently or might occur in the future.
  • Analyze patient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals.
  • Perform surgery to prepare the mouth for dental implants, and to aid in the regeneration of deficient bone and gum tissues.
  • Remove impacted, damaged, and non-restorable teeth.
  • Treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and neck.
  • Treat acute illnesses, infections, or injuries.
  • Remove tumors and other abnormal growths of the oral and facial regions, using surgical instruments.
  • Knowledge of: Working knowledge of proper infection control techniques.
  • Understanding of the principles of dental disease and appropriate treatment therapies.
