Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p The Home Health, Patient Account Services Specialist is responsible for floating through the different reimbursement departments to perform regular day in and day out duties. The floater will need to know both the Patient Account Representative role, as well as the Patient Service Coordinator role and be able to step in and help when the department is short staffed or needing assistance. This position will process claims, appeal claims (electronically or by paper), communicate with payor sources and/or patients/families, as well as process monthly supply orders, process new patient referrals in accordance with department protocol, and serve as a liaison between assigned departments.
Education: High School or Equivalent Experience: 1 year experience working with medical insurance and billing required 6 months experience with data entry and processing medical orders required Preferred: At least 6 months customer service experience Preferred: Durable Medical Equipment billing About Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.
