Provides strategic and operational leadership for the Environmental Services Department, ensuring a clean, safe, and healing environment that supports exceptional patient care. The Environmental Services Operations Manager is responsible for department operations, regulatory compliance, quality management, workforce development, budget stewardship, and continuous improvement while partnering with clinical and support departments to achieve organizational goals. Essential Job Functions • Leads the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department, ensuring high-quality environmental services across hospital, clinic, and regional operations. • Directs department supervisors by establishing operational priorities, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and supporting professional development. • Develops departmental goals, strategic initiatives, policies, and operational standards that align with Billings Clinic's mission and organizational objectives. • Ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, infection prevention, and environmental cleaning standards through routine monitoring, audits, and corrective action planning. • Manages departmental staffing, scheduling, productivity, budget performance, and resource allocation to achieve operational and financial goals. • Oversees department quality assurance, workforce development, patient experience, and environmental cleaning programs. • Partners with Nursing, Infection Prevention, Safety Emergency Management, Facility Services, and other operational leaders to improve patient care and operational performance. • Analyzes operational metrics, quality indicators, patient satisfaction data, and productivity reports to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives. • Leads departmental response to operational challenges, emergency events, customer concerns, and service recovery efforts. • Promotes employee engagement, accountability, recognition, and a culture of continuous improvement through effective leadership and communication. Minimum Qualifications Education •High School or GED •Preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree Experience •3 Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Environmental Services, healthcare support services, hospitality, or a related operational environment. •Minimum of one (1) year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience required. Certifications and Licenses •CHEST, AORN T-SCT Within 1 year of hire
