Provides frontline leadership and operational oversight for assigned Environmental Services operations to ensure a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers. The Environmental Services Supervisor leads staff, promotes regulatory compliance and quality standards, and partners with clinical and support departments to deliver consistent environmental services while supporting employee development and operational excellence. Essential Job Functions • Leads the daily operations of assigned Environmental Services areas, ensuring consistent delivery of environmental services that support patient care, regulatory compliance, and organizational standards. • Supervises Environmental Services staff by scheduling work, assigning priorities, monitoring productivity, providing coaching, and conducting performance evaluations. • Ensures compliance with infection prevention practices, regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and environmental cleaning standards through routine monitoring and quality inspections. • Coordinates staffing assignments and operational resources to meet departmental service levels, patient throughput, discharge priorities, and changing operational demands. • Develops staff through onboarding, competency validation, ongoing education, performance coaching, and recognition to promote employee engagement and professional growth. • Partners with nursing, clinical departments, Facility Services, Infection Prevention, and other support services to resolve operational issues and maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment. • Monitors departmental quality indicators, audits, and performance metrics; implements corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed. • Responds to operational issues, customer concerns, service recovery opportunities, and emergency situations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication. • Maintains accurate documentation, records, and reports related to staffing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, employee performance, and departmental operations. • Supports departmental initiatives, regulatory readiness, process improvement activities, and organizational goals while serving as a positive leader and role model for the Environmental Services team. Minimum Qualifications Education •Minimum High School or GED •Preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree Experience •3 Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Environmental Services, healthcare support services, hospitality, or a related operational environment. •1 Minimum of one (1) year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience required. Certifications and Licenses •CHEST, AORN T-SCT Within 1 year of hire
