A Brief Overview Supports and contributes to the controlled substance compliance and diversion management program for Avera. This role collaborates with designated teams to ensure compliance with DEA regulatory requirements, including education and adherence to established policies, procedures, and documentation standards. The Analyst participates in and helps coordinate data analysis processes related to controlled substances, contributing to the identification of trends and supporting the investigation of suspected drug diversion incidents.
This position assists in implementing and monitoring components of the diversion management plan, while partnering with leadership to support oversight and direction. The Analyst engages with the Avera Regional Controlled Substance Oversight Committee and may support local Drug Diversion Investigation and Response Teams, as well as other relevant system committees. The role works collaboratively with internal leaders, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement, contributing to the evaluation and improvement of processes to ensure regulatory compliance and proactively prevent drug diversion.
