Certified Surgical Technologist II## ## # Position Summary Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. # Responsibilities Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient#s skin, body and medical equipment Assists in transporting patient to and from the operating room Actively involved in process improvement Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field# Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned # Requirements and Minimum Qualifications Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program or 2 years# experience in an operating room as a Surgical Scrub Tech and/or LPN or military training required Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room required Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required Competent in two specialty areas required BLS required # Working Conditions Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position# Typical equipment used in a clinical job Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend # About Kootenai Health: Kootenai Health is a highly esteemed healthcare organization serving patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
