Summary
Under limited supervision, the Warehouse Lead Supply Technician assists in the day-to-day operations of the Regional Supply Service Center. The Regional Supply Service Center (RSSC) is a 12,000-square-foot facility. This facility provides supplies and procurement services to 26 federally recognized tribes nationwide, supporting rural health centers, over 200 health aide clinics, and five critical access hospitals.
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring that everything is carried out in a timely, high-quality, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team to ensure products are received, stored, and distributed with utmost care and efficiency, maintaining quality standards.
- S trategize and set objectives for the team, aligning with directives from the Logistics and Distribution Supervisor.
- A ssume responsibilities of the Logistics and Distribution Supervisor during their absence, ensuring seamless warehouse operations.
- D emonstrate strong decision-making abilities, adept problem-solving skills, and effective delegation in a dynamic warehouse environment.
- P roactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, implementing innovative solutions.
- C oordinate multiple tasks efficiently, utilizing available resources to meet deadlines.
- C hampion continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of creativity and problem-solving.
- M aintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, upholding safety standards.
- C ontrol and manage reports for receiving and order processing.
- C oordinates with customers regarding discrepancies and errors in the supply chain process.
- M anages product recalls via the National Recall Alert Center.
- C ompletes hazardous materials documents to accompany shipments.
- O perates motorized vehicles for pickup and/or delivery of materials and supplies.
- P roven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
- E xpert knowledge of safety precautions/procedures for operating vehicles, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
- P erforms other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: K nowledge of computer skills of the following programs but not limited to the ones listed: Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). K nowledge of Infor Lawson. K nowledge in the logistics of Alaska and its communities for shipping, mailing, and hazmat requirements/restrictions.
S kills to perform any of the duties in the warehousing and distribution department of the Regional Supply Service Center. S kill in being well-versed with the supply chain. S kill in user maintenance of machinery used in the warehouse.
S kill in effective oral and written communication to direct employees and prepare reports for upper management. S kill in following step-by-step instructions for various tasks. S kill in working with all levels of staff.
