Overview
Associate Medical Director VPC Position Description The Virtual Primary Care Associate Medical Director is responsible, under the direction of the VPC Medical Director, for assisting in managing, implementing and growing the Virtual Primary Care service line, inclusive of clinical care delivery, clinical quality, the MDLIVE Provider life cycle. Responsibilities include support for care pathway development and process improvement, credentialing, onboarding, engagement, and education. The VPC Associate Medical Director maintains 30% time spent in direct patient care/clinical practice.
Essential Job Functions Role assists VPC Medical Director in coordinating and directing all clinical and administrative aspects of the Virtual Primary Care service line. Providing consultation to MDLIVE Providers and other staff on clinical standards, practice, competency, and productivity. Assists in optimizing, developing and implementing clinical care practice review systems and improvements.
Assists in developing, maintaining, and overseeing Virtual Primary Care clinical priority needs for direct care services, serving as “doctor of the day,” and recommending adjustments to staffing levels accordingly. Participating in Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI), Patient Safety Council, clinical program development and lead committees as directed. Serving as a subject matter resource for primary care and clinical direct care process, and guideline and policy development.
