Department Details Supervisor Mobile Imaging will be responsible for our fleet of owned mobile Mammography/BMD units and staff. They will manager operations and the existing business and new business contacts. Summary The Radiology Mobile Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Mobile Imaging Service, coordinating the scheduling, staffing, equipment assignment, and patient flow. Responsible for supervision and direction of the staff and scheduling of staff on rotations on other assignments. Job Description Conducts performance appraisals and has the authority to recommend, reward and/or discipline. Observes, evaluates, and participates in the educational processes of students. Ability to operate and troubleshoot: picture archiving and communication system quality (PACS), computers, monitors, and other radiology equipment. Provides internal support for all systems necessary to the operation of the radiology department, to include but not limited to, the electronic medical record, PACS system dictation systems, image sharing programs, etc. Participates in annual appraisals for radiology staff. Participates in the process of hiring, promoting, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Has 24-hour accountability for the areas under their control. Ability to function independently and able to assume the duties of department supervisor as necessary. Possesses the skills and knowledge of diagnostic x-rays. Ability to perform related procedure and protocols. Ability to learn new technology and orient new technologists. Demonstrates leadership qualities to provide direction to staff and to handle inter- and intradepartmental conflicts. Provides input for budget preparation. Recommends policy development and revision. Supervises and coordinates the care and maintenance of various equipment. Maintains familiarity with equipment operation and direct technical staff. Reviews and understands policies regarding safety, free/emergency preparedness, hazardous substance, and infection control. Provides input to capital requests. Possesses the ability to professional obtain information from patients or their responsible parts to further improve their personalized treatment and care. On a continuum, the technologist works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status. May supervise different modalities as necessary. Qualifications Completion of formal radiographic technology training in an American Medical Association (AMA) or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved school is required. Minimum of two years’ experience as a staff radiologic technologist required; previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Possesses a thorough understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required. Sanford is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/Disability/Vet.
