  • Career Advancement The pay range is $20.45 -$21.85 per hour, depending on level of experience. **This will be a Remote position.
  • The Senior Specialist of Self-Pay Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the self-pay collections process, including managing bad debt inventory and placements, acute and PRC inventory, and statement holds and volumes.
  • This role involves ensuring accurate billing, improving collection strategies, and providing detailed analysis and reports to leadership.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare billing and collections, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to providing excellent quality for our clients.
  • Essential Job Functions: Manage Self-Pay Accounts: Oversee the self-pay accounts receivable process to ensure accounts are moving through the self-pay life cycle as designed.
  • Bad Debt Management: Handle bad debt inventory management, placements, and returns.
  • Reconcile bad debt transactions and manage vendor recall requests.
  • Acute and PRC Inventory Management: Oversee the management of acute and PRC (Physician Revenue Cycle) inventory.
  • Deceased Account Review: Conduct reviews of deceased accounts to ensure proper handling and resolution.
  • Statement Holds Review: Review and resolve statement holds to ensure timely billing and collections.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on self-pay aging performance, including ATB (Aged Trial Balance) review summaries for leadership and external teams.
  • Identify opportunities that impact aging self-pay AR (Accounts Receivable).
  • Compliance: Ensure all billing and collections activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the self-pay operations team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in self-pay operations.
