• Career Advancement This position pays between $18.65 - $20.50/hr based on experience The Senior Billing Specialist will work daily failed bills/claims on all systems including late charges, rebills and any additional billing reports.
• Essential Job Functions: Reviews/Updates failed bills & claims on host system and within billing vendor.
• Works daily electronic submissions (or 277's) resolving claim issues.
• Monitors daily claims errors and resolutions providing recommendations on systems fix's going forward.
• Works daily late charges & rebills.
• Bills hardcopy claims attaching any needed documentation for payment.
• Pulls EOB's and Medical Records as needed attaching to claims and mailing Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data.
• Creates training documents/tests.
• Train educate staff, providing testing.

• Desired Work Experience: 1 to 3 Years Desired Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 2 years of an accredited degree or equal experience.
• Must also be CPB Certified.
• Internal candidates must have achieved 100% productivity and 95 % quality assurance for the prior 3-month period.
• Must have billing experience on multiple payers or a SME on one payer.
• Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Must pass typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
• Must be able to provide a mock training session for the interviewer (s).
