Responsibilities

  • Presbyterian provides a year-long Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program for newly graduated nurses who are interested in starting their professional career.
  • The program has shown to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality nursing practice.
  • Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion of the program.
  • Students approaching graduation and newly licensed nurses, graduating from an accredited college, within 12 months are welcome to apply.
  • Qualified candidates must have a current New Mexico RN license and an associate’s degree in nursing or higher (BSN preferred).
