The program coincides with the unit you are hired into and all nurses with less than one year of experience are enrolled in the program. Education
Qualifications
- Overview: Target audience: We are now accepting applications for August and December 2026 graduates!
- If you have already graduated, please look at openings on our careers page and apply.
- If you are hired, we will enroll you in the Nurse Residency Program.
- Goal: To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development.
- Length: 1 year program Shifts: Typically 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability), but openings vary Eligibility: Current nursing student graduating in August or December 2026 Required
Qualifications
- Nursing license in Minnesota before start date with Essentia Health Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire. Licensure/Certification
