Summary

• The Family Birthing Center at our Rust Medical Center is seeking an experienced Family Birthing/Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team.
• In this role you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and manage the physical and emotional well-being of patients during labor , delivery , and recovery.
• Fetal Monitoring: Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic tests to ensure maternal and fetal health.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during deliveries, including assisting with cesarean sections or emergency procedures.
• Provide care and education to new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while monitoring for any adverse reactions.
• Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, fetal distress, or neonatal complications.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire NRP 2 Years Family Birthing/Labor and Delivery Experience REQUIRED We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
