Job Description
Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Heart Transplant Shift: Varying Shifts (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Coordinator, Transplant/VAD is a member of the Nursing team responsible for the seamless coordination of care for heart transplant and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients. As the primary clinical point of contact, this Registered Nurse (RN) manages the patient journey from the initial evaluation phase for VAD and transplant care through listing, surgery, and long-term post-operative recovery. The Coordinator facilitates multidisciplinary communication, ensures adherence to clinical protocols, and provides essential education to patients and their families to optimize outcomes and safety. Heavy On-Call required Experience 3 years of experience in intensive care with heart transplant & VAD experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas is required.
