Registered Respiratory Therapist (7p-7a) Mountain City, TN

Job Description: Summary: ​This position provides competency in routine and emergency respiratory care to both acute and chronic patients, neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescence, adult and geriatric. Staff assignments are based on documented age specific competencies. This care includes routine cardiopulmonary diagnostics, cardiopulmonary emergency resuscitation, airway management, and ventilator support. Provides and promotes wellness and education to the patient, staff and community. Demonstrates a team/multidisciplinary approach to patient care and related services adhering to all regulatory requirements under the direction of a Medical Director. This approach provides appropriate patient care to assess, treat, support and diagnose patients with cardiopulmonary disorders and documentation of this care, in accordance with policy and procedures. Requirements: ​1) Minimum requirements: Graduate of AMA approved program for Respiratory Care. Eligible for NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist Exam. 2) Prefer: One year experience as a Registry Eligible Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care. One year college credit. 3) Must demonstrate competency in the care and education of patients ranging from neonates to geriatric. Licenses and Certifications: Current temporary license by the appropriate state. CPR and ACLS required PALS and NRP preferred dependent upon area assigned.
