Hours of Work : 2:30pm-10:30pm Days Of Week : 8 Work Shift : Job Description : Your Job: The Business Manager Emergency Services will research, plan, and implement methods and mechanisms for reimbursement, expense, cost containment and budgeting for the Department of Emergency Services. You will design data collection analysis systems that support the daily activities related to revenue and expense reimbursement for the department and acts as a resource to the Materials Management and Finance areas by designing data analysis of current budgets for the Emergency Services Department. The Business Emergency Service Manager will assure patients and physicians quality of service and satisfaction in the areas of equipment, and supply distribution and charging. You will also, work with Materials Management and manages the inventory process for Emergency Services including Supply Processing and Distribution. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Your Job Requirements: • Bachelor of Business Administration or in process. • Office manager computer skills and 1 year supervisory experience desired. • Must be competent in the Trauma and Emergency Services' computer system in 3 months. • Prior experience in ED or materials required. • Experience working in an emergency department to understand the materials and supplies of the emergency department required. • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing). Your Job Responsibilities: • Assures daily maintenance issues are addressed for the department, equipment,building infrastructure and follow those items to completion. • Assures financial monthly analysis is reviewed with managers as needed and reports the improvement/outcome to the director. • Assures proper charging of supplies, time and rental equipment by monitoring documents used with par levels established with the director of the area. • Assures proper, timely capital, operational and Zero Based budget preparation with the manager and/or director of the Emergency Services Department. • Utilizes case volume, revenue, and expenses per cases to ensure compliance with the FY plan. • Uses the Lawson system and guidelines for Zero Based budgets for annual and quarterly reporting and analysis. • Coordinates and monitors the material's management details of the Emergency Department to ensure the daily inventory of patient care supplies as well as ancillary needs are maintained to facilitate patient care. • Assures timely communications to the Director Emergency Services and VP of Nursing Services regarding materials management and computer system functions of the department. • Delegate tasks appropriately to the materials management and computer system STAFFnd maintains accountability for that task. • Maintains oversight of the requests for reimbursements from staff members for various expenses to insure they are within MHS Guidelines, and paid appropriately. • Works closely with Finance to perform regular reviews of the CDM, CPT, HCPCS codes and ensures charges correctly/fairly represent cost adjustments as allowed. • Writes and implements reference guidelines and policies related to the operational activities of the business and data area of Emergency Services. • Perform other job duties as assigned.
