Job Summary Position responsible for receiving and dispatching all requests for assistance or service provided by area of assignment. The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing transportation assignments as well as transporting patients. Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital 27800 Northwest Fwy, Cypress, TX 77433 Job Description Minimum Qualifications Education: High School graduate or GED Licenses/Certifications: For security dispatchers ability to be registered with the Texas Private Security Board within 14 days of hire date Experience / Knowledge / Skills: One (1) year experience as a dispatcher/scheduler Ability to effectively communicate and follow oral and written instructions Basic computer skills required Principal Accountabilities Disseminates information received via telephone, radio, from persons, alarms or as observed on CCTV. Prioritizes and assigns calls according to the urgency of the call and the expertise of the personnel available. Maintains computerized logs and records, produces spreadsheets and reports as necessary. Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff. Other duties as assigned.
