This position's schedule is every Monday night (7p-7a) and every Thursday & Friday day (7a-7p). If you’re looking for a path that combines purpose, stability, and teamwork, Telemetry might be exactly where you belong. Summary The Monitor Tech provides support services. Some duties include: basic computer keyboarding skills, tearing down and assembling patient charts as appropriate, calling other departments to inform them of ordered tests and procedures as needed, and stocking supplies. Job Description In addition, the monitor tech will be responsible in monitoring and interpreting patient heart rhythms and vital signs as well as following set algorithm parameters that may raise alarms. Ability to interpret alarms and follow through with appropriate communication as needed. Depending on location, the monitor tech may also be providing continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients. Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Follows set algorithms, interprets alarming events, and follows through with appropriate communication as needed. Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required.
