South University Clinic Department: 3021450 OPHTHALMOLOGY - SU Job Description: Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to serve in our ophthalmology practice at South University Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. This LPN or CMA works 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekday off. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

• LPN: North Dakota LPN license required upon hire.
• LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
• Medical Assistant: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
• Must pass certification within two attempts.
• Medical Assistant: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
• Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.
• BOTH: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred, especially in ophthalmology or optometry.
