Clinic Licensed Vocational Nurse The Clinic LVN provides skilled nursing care and prescribed medical treatment to patients in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act in the State of Texas. Under the direction of the supervising Nurse Practitioner or Physician, the LVN assists in patient care, follows the plan of care, and collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Reports to: Job Specific Responsibilities Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: Collect vital information from patients. Gather information about health complaints. Change wound dressings and remove stitches. Explain prescriptions to patients. Assist patients with tasks such as dressing and walking or using a walking aid. Education and Experience Completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program. Active LVN license in the State of Texas. Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred. Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Valid LVN license in Texas. Skills and Abilities Proficient in nursing techniques for patient comfort and well-being. Ability to administer medications, take vital signs, and monitor patient progress. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships The person in this role will have daily interactions with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
