Kootenai Health is seeking a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, experienced in general surgery with#both adults and pediatrics or other surgical specialties, to practice at our regional referral center hospital located in beautiful Coeur d#Alene, Idaho.# Ideal candidates will have a strong focus on quality, safety, teamwork and patient satisfaction and have experience working in busy surgical clinic and hospital departments.## # What you can expect: Joining an experienced group of physicians and#advanced practice professionals, APP scope includes:#surgery assist, hospital rounding, surgery follow-up appointments, new patient appointments, and tele-health visits, Full-time is no less than 40 hours per week, with 32 hours of patient facing time, Competitive compensation package with salary plus potential incentives for productivity and quality, Robust

Responsibilities

  • Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Qualifications

  • MSN degree or higher from an accredited nurse practitioner program required Nationally recognized as a Nurse Practitioner Clinical experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Holds a current NP and RN license to practice in the state of Idaho required # PA

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician.
  • Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.# Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Typically reports to a physician.# Performs other related duties as assigned.# Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned. # PA Requirements and Minimum

Qualifications

  • Bachelor#s degree in Health Science required.
  • Physician#s Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Idaho Medical Board or is certification eligible, and is certified as a Physician#s Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required.
  • Qualified under the rules of the DEA for prescriptive practices required.
  • Qualified under CMS regulations for patient care and billing practices required.
