Job Summary Position is responsible for managing small scale projects in support of IT business objectives. The IT Construction Project Manager supports the delivery of IT infrastructure within new and existing healthcare facilities, including clinics, by coordinating network cabling, equipment installation, and vendor execution. This role is responsible for leading small-scale projects and contributing to larger initiatives under the guidance of senior project managers. Working closely with operations, construction teams, and external vendors (such as cabling providers), this position ensures IT components are properly installed, aligned with project timelines, and ready to support clinical and business operations. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills to manage competing priorities and maintain stakeholder alignment. Must reside in the greater Houston area Job Description Desired Skill Sets Project coordination and time management Vendor and stakeholder collaboration Basic IT infrastructure and cabling knowledge Strong communication and organizational skills Problem-solving in fast-paced environments Minimum Qualifications Education: Associates degree, or two (2) years work experience in information systems Licenses/Certifications: ( None) Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Experience leading work teams Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others Planning and organizational skills Excellent communication skills Understanding of project management processes Principal Accountabilities Provides leadership to small projects. Assists in leading medium or large projects, under the supervision of a Senior or Lead Project Manager. Performs project management administrative tasks. Assumes responsibility for the success of assigned projects or portions of projects. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff. Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues. Other duties as assigned.
