Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and coordinates activities during surgical procedures by anticipating staff needs and necessary supplies.
  • Adheres to proper surgical procedures of aseptic technique and safety in the use of instruments and equipment.
  • Maintains an accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments.
  • Gathers supplies and instruments and assemble before procedures.
  • Ensure that specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school or GED BLS required Prefers knowledge of surgical and radiologic procedures I.V. certification is preferred We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
