Job Summary Under general supervision of the Registration Supervisor, the Patient Registration Specialist performs clerical and general office work of moderate difficulty, registers and pre-registers patients, schedules ancillary procedures, assists patients and guarantors with insurance, ensures that appointment is authorized, assists with account payment questions and collections, prepares deposits, and scans orders while maintaining a high level of customer service. Qualifications Education Preferred High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Experience: Required One or more years of clerical/general office experience Preferred Knowledge of Medical Terminology One or more years of cash handling experience Certification/Licensure: N/A
